We’ve taken our proven, phonics-based reading program and turned it into an engaging, hands-on monthly subscription box that gives parents everything they need to help their child learn to read, starting with letter sounds. Designed for preschoolers, it is a complete step-by-step curriculum for kids who are ready to begin learning or build exposure to sounds.

Each month, you’ll receive everything you need to help your child learn and master four new letter sounds. Every box follows Miss Debbie’s proven, step-by-step method and includes:

  • A daily calendar with step-by-step instructions and a reward chart

  • 25+ workbook pages

  • 20 hands-on activities

  • A materials bag with everything included and ready to use

All boxes ship the last week of the month so you’re ready to begin the first full week of the next month.

Note: The Starter Kit and flashcards are not included. We highly recommend purchasing them to get the most value from the program, track your child’s progress, and maximize results as they quickly master letter sounds.

Your subscription box is sent out during the fourth week of every month and typically arrives within 5–7 business days.

If you place your order before the 28th, your first box will ship that same month.

Orders placed on the 28th or later will receive their first box the following month (fulfillment ships boxes after the 15th of the month).

After your first box, your card will be charged on the 15th of each month.

No extra steps are needed—your child’s reading journey will arrive at your doorstep automatically. If you ever need to cancel or make changes to your subscription, you can do so through our online platform or by emailing us at hello@missdebbie.co.

How does the subscription work?

Subscriptions renew monthly. Your card is charged mid-month, and boxes ship during the last week of each month. You can easily manage your subscription through our website.

What supplies do I need?

Everything is included inside the box, just open and go! The only item we don’t provide is scissors (for liability reasons).

When will my child finish the program?

Road Map 1: The first 7 months cover all letter sounds, no matter when you begin. We then repeat those sounds with brand-new activities, giving you 14 full months of boxes for extra practice, reinforcement, and confidence-building fun. Once your child has mastered their sounds you can opt in to Road Map 2 at any time!

Road Map 2: A 5 month program focusing on one vowel a month.

How much time will it take?

Just 15 minutes a day is all you need. Short, focused sessions keep kids engaged and parents stress-free.

Can I skip a month or cancel?

Yes. You can skip a month or cancel anytime through your customer portal. There are no contracts or hidden fees.

If you skip a month, you will not receive the letters from that box, since we produce one box per month on a continuous rotation. We strongly recommend receiving each box in order so your child learns every letter sound. If you fall behind, you can always catch up at the end.

  • The Road to Reading Box is designed for children ages 3–5 who are ready to explore letter sounds. It also works well for early First Graders who need extra practice and for struggling readers who benefit from hands-on reinforcement.

  • Yes. You can pause, skip a month, or cancel anytime through your customer portal. There are no contracts or hidden fees.

  • Each activity takes about 10–15 minutes. Parents can choose to do one activity a day or repeat favorites until a child masters the sound. The short sessions fit easily into daily routines without overwhelm.

  • Each box comes with 20+ hands-on activities, 24+ worksheets, weekly calendars, a rewards chart, and a materials pouch. All supplies are included (except scissors for safety reasons), so you can open the box and start learning right away.

  • Every month introduces four new letter sounds. Over the course of seven months, children are exposed to the full set of foundational sounds. After completing this first stage, families can continue with step two: beginner reading boxes that focus on blending and reading words.
